Auto cat not always working

Will autocat only change something if it’s not categorized yet? I have rules set to change the name of some transactions, just for a cleaner look, and it doesn’t work. I have checked and I don’t have any rules that would affect it.

Yes. You could temporarily change the AutoCat setting to run on All Transactions.

I usually will just filter the Transactions sheet columns and copy/paste values-only to get consistent clean naming for past transactions. I don’t really want AutoCat running on everything, just in case
