Budget sheets have lost sync

I’m guessing this is straightforward but I’ve searched through the forum and couldn’t find anything.

I fell off the bandwagon late November and stopped tending to Tiller. At that time everything was working fine. Now I’ve gone back in and categorized all of the transactions that came in since then. But my Yearly budget sheet has “ErrorFunction ARRAY_ROW parameter 3 has mismatched row size. Expected: 194. Actual: 1.” errors in all of the Actual and Available columns, $0 in all of the Budget columns, and no categories listed. I’ve tried switching years but that has no effect.

My Monthly budget has the same error in Category, Actual, and Available.

Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Hi Tom,

I found a help guide that addresses this error message! Read up on this error and some of the potential causes. Then take a look at the data you changed. Hopefully you will find some data that was incorrectly changed. Post back with your findings. You can also contact the support group through the support chat and they can take a look at your spreadsheet.

I’m seeing Row Size Mismatch or ARRAYFORMULA errors on my budget dashboard

Hi Tom, did you get a chance to review the help guide? If you have any questions please feel free to post them. You can also always reach out to the support team if you want them to look at your spreadsheet and issue.

Hi Clint—thank you so much for staying in touch on this. I got sidetracked with some other things and am just getting back to it. I read through the help guide but it’s over my head in terms of technicality. Also, the thing that confuses me is that I didn’t change anything. I simply stopped looking at Tiller for several months. Transactions kept flowing in and some needed to be manually categorized when I got back to it, but other than that I didn’t touch a thing. But when I looked at my budget sheets these errors appeared. I’m wondering if there was an update to Tiller, or something related to going from 2025 to 2026, that might have caused this.

In any case, your suggestion to reach out to the support team is a good one, I’ll try that.

Hi Clint—I found it! Going through the chatbot help I checked column headers and somehow I must have accidentally renamed the column header “Category” in the Categories sheet to one of my category names. Renaming it back fixed the problem. Again, thanks for hanging in there with me—your prompts led me to a solution …:folded_hands:
