E*TRADE Employee Stock Plans Regression — Connection Broken with 2FA Enabled

My E*TRADE Employee Stock Plans connection stopped working. I’m getting “invalid credentials” error with no 2FA prompt.

Is anyone else running into this?

(I’ve already written to support.)

Troubleshooting:

  • Re-adding account

  • Password reset

  • Verified third-party sharing enabled

  • Temporarily disabled 2FA → this worked

So it’s clearly a 2FA authentication issue/regression with Yodlee’s integration. This used to work fine with 2FA enabled.

(Note: E*TRADE from Morgan Stanley connection still works fine)

I got a response from support. This a known outage that Yodlee is working on.
