Excel Auto-selecting All Transactions?

I use Excel 365 (latest version) and have recently noticed that when I open the Tiller add-in it auto-selects the entire Transactions range, with the active cell being at the lower/right of the range. I deselect, fill transactions, and it does it again. Is anyone else experiencing this?

That’s a strange issue @Robert. Are you using a Mac or iPad by any chance?

Well, I really don’t know about this error. You could try removing the Tiller add-in and then re-adding it back. I use Excel too and have not run into this issue or seen it posted before.

Thank you @Clint.C. I didn’t want to try too hard if it was a bug, but if nobody else is seeing it then it must be something on this end. I’ll remove and reinstall the add-in as a first step.

I think that I figured out what’s happening. When I installed the Tiller add-in (way back), it put the button on the Data tab of the menu ribbon. My habit has been to open the workbook, then (quickly) the Data tab and then the add-in. Since the last post… I did it slowly, waiting after clicking the Data tab… and what do you know, Excel auto-selected the Transactions range automatically before opening the add-in. I repeated this a few times to confirm. I’m chalking it up to a likely quirk in a recent Excel update until there’s reason to think otherwise.

I edited the ribbon and moved the Tiller add-in to the “Home” tab. Oddly, I can’t repeat the auto-select after moving the add-in button, but it wasn’t consistent before, so possibly just timing? :crossed_fingers:

Interesting. I can recreate part of your issue. On the first time opening of the Template, and on the Transaction tab, if I select the Data menu, then the issue happens before even opening the TMF. If I do what I normally do, Open the spreadsheet, Select the Transaction tab, then Select the Add-Ins icon from the Home tab, then Select TMF, it works normally. In fact, as long as the Transaction tab isn’t the opened tab when opening the Template, I don’t have the issue. For me, it doesn’t appear to be related to TMF.
