Hiding accounts from reports

Is there a way to hide certain accounts from tabs like Spending Trends?

This Reviewing Balances & Customizing Accounts page seems to indicate you can hide accounts from other tabs, but in practice it only affects the Balances tab. From the linked page:

You can also hide the account from other reports by using the “hide” flag on the Accounts sheet.

Yeah, it hides accounts from an Asset/Liability/Net Worth perspective and not from transactions.
Categories can be hidden for transactions.
Probably not what you want to hear, but that’s the way it’s designed presently.
