# How do I return to transactions by date?

I sorted transactions in Google sheets A-Z by name which was useful for finding things that had been wrongly categorized, but now I don’t know how to get back to viewing them by date as they normally are when the sheets are filled.

Click on any date in the Date column, go to the Data menu to “Sort sheet” and choose “Sort sheet by Column B (Z to A)”
This assumes your dates are in column B, which is the default, and it assumes you want the newest transactions at the top.

Yea, something like that is hard to search on because you get sooo many returns. Hard to sort through them all!

Some of the results that returned involved writing formulas! I knew it had to be simpler than that.
