# How should I categorize credit card payment transactions?

I have my checking linked and my credit card that i make all my purchases with. When a payment to my credit card pops up into my transaction list what should I categorize that as?

I’ve been wondering the same thing. In Transactions I mark the credit card payment as a Transfer. Hope that is correct and look for confirmation on this solution.

Yes, I think that’s pretty standard practice. The money out of your checking account to pay the bill is a transfer out. The money received by your credit card is a transfer in.
