How to create an add-on

I’m interested in creating an add-on that converts cash purchases in a foreign currency and adds it to the Tiller Transactions sheet.

Is there a guide on how to create add-ons? I saw a few docs talking about creating sheets but I would only like to add transactions and not create a new sheet.
