Spending Money Template Timeframe

In cell A7 in the Spending Money template, I’m trying to figure out how I can add “Quarter” and “Year” as options, and have the sheet pull back the correct information.

Thanks in advance for any assistance you may be able to give.

could you share a screenshot of the top headers? on the sheets, in the transaction tab it seems only week and month is natively pulled so to add a year column i have =arrayformula(if(row(A1:A)=1,“Year”,IF((A:A<>0),YEAR(A:A)))) where A is the date
and this might work for quarters?
=ARRAYFORMULA(IF(ROW(A1:A)=1,“Quarter”,IF(A:A<>0,“Q”&INT((MONTH(A:A)-1)/3)+1,“”)))

for excel depending on the version =IF(ROW(A1:A100)=1, “Year”, IF(A1:A100<>0, YEAR(A1:A100), “”)) might work.

While I can put “Quarter” and “Year” in the list, I don’t have the formula (or expertise) to pull that data. Also, (and I apologize if I’m in the wrong place) this is a Google Sheet and not Excel.

I’ve put in a request to have this thread moved over to Sheets instead of Excel.
