Just a quick note of “Thanks” for the one-click refresh option. This was my biggest complaint about Tiller and you have resolved it.
I too appreciate it but ran into an issue today. I have a couple accounts that require MFA. We know that these will not update with the refresh all. However, what I found was the refresh on these hung indefinitely. I couldn’t get the refresh to stop so that I could refresh them manually. I’m not sure what we are supposed to do in this instance.
Yes it’s not really compatible with MFA; your best bet is either to refresh those manually first then the one button, or if it’s hung refresh the page after a few minutes and then you should be able to manually refresh.

Same here. Typically, if I log out and back in, the refresh spin cycle stops, but that didn’t work on my MFA account today. Plus, the Refresh All button isn’t working for me today. I’ve learned that I have fewer issues if I manually refresh my one MFA account before using the Refresh All button, but I couldn’t get that account to refresh today, no matter what I did. I tried to re-enter my credentials for that account, but the password field wasn’t enabled.
The Refresh All button briefly flashes to “Refreshing Accounts”, but immediately reverts to its usual state without refreshing anything. I’m doing manual refreshes on all of my accounts this morning.

Thanks for the feedback here @dminches - we decided to silently ship this feature and will announce more broadly in the future once we hopefully have addressed some of the potentially odd behavior.
I suspect that eventually those will stop looking like they’re refreshing but I don’t know what the timeout is on that. I’ll definitely surface it to the team that the issue isn’t fully resolved (we thought it was).

The refresh of accounts was completed promptly and is such a time saver compared to manually refreshing each account.

It would be perfect if we could schedule a time for it to “Refresh All”
This feature works great for accounts that do not have MFA. However, the accounts that do have MFA try to refresh endlessly and I am still not sure how to stop it so I can refresh it manually.
The workaround right now is to use the Connection > Edit credentials option for the institution. We are also working on options to improve this experience.
That’s what I ended up doing.
My $0.02 for a couple of usability improvements:
- Add a way for a user to select which banks/accounts should be refreshed with the “Refresh Accounts” button. This will allow users to de-select accounts which either are MFA or don’t change frequently (i.e. mortgage).
- The ability to add a recurring schedule for the “Refresh Accounts” action.
Yes, this feature is much appreciated!
Also, including “Cancel Refresh” and “Refresh Manually” buttons could help with the MFA issue. At present, there’s no way to cancel a refresh and for those stuck in the loop, it just continues.
