Curious if anyone here has used Tiller spreadsheets to replace Quickbooks Online for rental property investments? I am learning QBO, but its tough! I wonder if I could build out income and expenses statements to give my accountant using tiller in google sheets.
Hi @mooney_money Chris, Welcome to Tiller and the Community forms!
I can provide you with some links to some community solutions & form questions related to using Tiller with rental property business’. We also have a number of users coming from QB and users managing rental property. I will let them provide more specific help based on their experience.
It depends on how detailed your accounting is. I am a CPA and use Tiller myself. Tiller does well at summarizing cash flows IMO, but it’s not a double entry accounting system. If you’re simply providing cash flow based P&L by property to your account, Tiller should work fine. If you’re wanting to maintain full GL detail for all accounts, I’d stick with QBO.
