Is there any issue with adding a custom column in the accounts tab?
@buzzmaster1 great question. I’ve never tried this so I’m not sure. I think if you’re adding in the visible area it might be okay, if you were to add to the hidden area it could break things. Adding out to the far right is probably safest. But best recommendation is just give it a try and before adding any data into the new column just go check your other sheets that depend on the Accounts sheet like the Balances sheet, Net Worth Tracker, and probably other community built ones, to see if they broke. If not, you’re probably good to go and if it did break something just undo the change and it should be fine.
Because the Accounts tab includes two columns called “Account”, the way other templates gather information from that sheet tends to vary. It’s possible some templates could reference the second occurance of the Account column based on it’s current column number, which of course would break if you add a column to the left of it. I’d say give it a try, and then test all your added templates to make sure they still work as expected. If you run into a problem, use your revision history to go back to before you changed it (might be a good idea to name the current version before you make your changes so it’s easy to revert back later).
I saw that column E was not used so I made that me user column “Owner”
