Access Your Tiller Spreadsheet Directly From the Console

Want to get to your money insights a little faster? While the Tiller Console is the hub for managing your account connections, you can use it to jump straight into your spreadsheet any time you want.

Option 1: Use the Tiller Console

At the top of the Tiller Console are your linked spreadsheets. Expand the listed spreadsheet to show the “Open” button. Clicking on “Open” will launch your Tiller connected spreadsheet.

Your spreadsheet is where you see and work with your money data, but the Tiller Console is your mission control for your bank connections. You will still want to log in to the Tiller Console (my.tiller.com) to:

  • Open your Tiller connected spreadsheets
  • Create a new Tiller Foundations Template spreadsheet in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
  • Add or remove bank accounts
  • Refresh your account connections or fix an error
  • Update your subscription details

Option 2: Google Drive

One of the best things about Tiller is that you own your data in your own private spreadsheets. Your Tiller-powered Google Sheet is stored in your Google Drive, just like any other document you create.

This means you can always access it without logging into the Tiller Console first.

Here’s how to find it:

  1. Open your web browser and go to drive.google.com.
  2. Make sure you are logged in with the same Google account you used to start your Tiller subscription.
  3. You can find your spreadsheet by typing its name into the search bar at the top.
  4. If you have used it recently, you can also find it under the “Recent” view in your Google Drive.

Spreadsheet Tip: Bookmark for Even Faster Access

For the quickest access, open your Tiller spreadsheet and create a bookmark for it in your browser. This puts your budget just one click away. It is perfect for when you want to quickly categorize a new transaction or check a category balance on the fly.
