Adding New Column into Categories tab

Hello,

I would like to confirm whether adding a new column in the Categories tab, to serve as a sub-group, can be reflected in the Monthly Budget and Yearly Budget tabs.

For e.g.

Category Group 2 Group 1
AE Parking & Tolls AUTOMOBILE EXPENSE Living
AE Vehicle Fuel AUTOMOBILE EXPENSE Living
AE Vehicle Registration AUTOMOBILE EXPENSE Living
AE Vehicle Rep & Maint AUTOMOBILE EXPENSE Discretionary
AE Transportation AUTOMOBILE EXPENSE Discretionary

How would this appear in the reports mentioned above? This is how I would like it to be presented:

EXPENSE $0.00 $0.00 $0.00
LIVING 0% of budget $0.00 $0.00 $0.00
AUTOMOBILE EXPENSE 0% of budget $0.00 $0.00 $0.00
AE Vehicle Fuel $0.00 $0.00 $0.00
AE Vehicle Registration $0.00 $0.00 $0.00
DISCRETIONARY 0% of budget $0.00 $0.00 $0.00

This would allow Group 2 to function as a header account, with Group 1 serving as a breakdown beneath it, essentially supporting the structure of the 50/30/20 budgeting framework.

If this is not currently possible, is there a workaround that could be applied to incorporate this into the reports?

Yeah that won’t work. How about using the existing Group and using a - to separate the two groups?

I thought that might be the case, that’s unfortunate. Could you please clarify what you meant by -? I’m not sure I fully understand.

Something like this. Basically try to include the same information without adding columns. I know it’s not what you really want, just a thought.
