Bill Payment Tracker with multiple bank accounts from same bank

I’m currently in the trial period of Tiller Money, and I’ve absolutely loved it—though there’s been quite a learning curve. There’s one feature I miss a lot from Mint: the ability to easily view my upcoming bills.

The main reason I need this is to ensure I have enough cash flow to cover all of our bills. I downloaded the Bill Payment Tracker, which is a good start, but it’s not quite what I need.

The biggest issue I’m facing is that my husband and I have nine credit cards with Chase, and they all show up with the same description, making it difficult to tell them apart. Is there a workaround for this?

Additionally, some of my other credit cards, with different banks, have generic descriptions like “Thank you for your payment,” so I can’t tell which bank the bill is for when looking at upcoming payments.

Since all of our bills are on autopayment, I’m primarily looking for a solution to help manage cash flow effectively. I really love Tiller and want to find a solution for this. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I’m new to Tiller as well and have been very pleased with it.

Tiller does not appear to look at nicknames given to accounts in a bank’s app, so using the account number is the way to distinguish between multiple accounts at the same bank.

You could create a unique group name for each of your Chase cards in the Accounts tab. That would make them easy to recognize on the Balances tab.

For transactions, you’ll want to use AutoCat rules to apply Category and Tag names to your transactions. Use a combination of the bank name and the last four of the account number to categorize each of the charges/payments to your individual Chase cards.

HTH.

Welcome to you both @anataylorpetersarah @Toews8612 !
You can also nickname your accounts on Tiller if that helps.

I agree with @Toews8612 you can use some column override to perhaps append some identifier to the generic description using AutoCat.
