Before understanding how the budget column works in the monthly budget tab, i was manually inputting the budget #'s into the column. i saw an error in cell F16, the INCOME line and budget column. so then i went thru and deleted any budget #'s in manually inputted.
when i figured out i needed to input the budget #'s in the Categories tab, only 1 budgeted number transferred over, the others didn’t transfer over. on the monthly budget tab, the cell F16 shows #REF! with an error of Array result was not expanded because it would overwrite data in F71. Cell F71 was the one budget line that did transfer over from the Categories Tab.
is there a way to reset the budget column in the monthly budget tab to ensure the budgeted #'s from the Categories tab does transfer over?
@ohmmgt You can restore the Monthly Budget template from the Tiller Money Feeds templates.
I would recommend that you restore the Monthly Budget template.
Go to the Tiller Money Feeds extension and select Templates. Select the Installed option and you should see Monthly Budget there. Click on it and choose Restore. This will replace your edited copy with the original version.
@ohmmgt Did you try to restore the template? Did it resolve the issue?
Hi @ohmmgt is your budget numbers issue resolved? If not, please feel free to post any questions you have. You can also reach out to support to have them look at your spreadsheet and assist troubleshooting.
I have this problem too, but the budget numbers are in both my Yearly Budget and Monthly Budget sheets up to a serveral months ago, when they stop appearing on any of the remaining months.
I have restored both sheets using Tiller Feeds but that didn’t resolve the issue in either case. Any ideas?
Can you please double check on the Categories sheet that you have month headers (row 1) for the remaining months where those budgets are missing and that when you click inside the cell for those months in row 1 that it’s a formula and not plain text (assuming you’re using Google Sheets)?
That fixed it! Thank you so much heather! Restoring from Templates didn’t. Apparently I had extended the Categories table manually, which likely caused the problem.
