CapitalOne connection not expected to be fixed until 1/1/2026?

I suspect this may not be Tiller’s problem to address, but I wanted to see if there’s any more details available than the connection dashboard shows, and/or if there’s a better place to register my disappointment with this level of service (Yodlee? Capital One?).

My Capital One accounts are key to my financial life as that’s they are the main checking and savings accounts, so I need to keep an eye on balances and activity to avoid unexpected surprises. Since I’m retired and it’s year end, it’s especially important. I’ve tried everything short of deleting and re-adding the accounts to get the sync to work, but even though everything looks correct up until the “Save” step (ie, connection is made, permission is granted, data is retrieved, correct balances are shown, last refresh date is updated to current date/time), when the dialog is closed, no data is updated in Tiller and my balances remain as they were several days ago.

Is there clarity on what the issue is and who owns resolution? Is there anything I can do to help communicate the importance of a timely resolution to those responsible?

Thanks,

Ed

I also use Capital One and have not seen any issues. Are you sure the CApital one account is linked to your spreadheet.

Tiller Dashboard - Linked Spreadsheets.

I have done this before where i add an account but dont link it so nothing updates.

Same as @richl - no issues, when connected via Yodlee. Checking, savings, and CC accounts.

@ecscheel Make sure the accounts are selected (the checkboxes) in your designated data import sheet (expand the Linked Spreadsheets at the top). I’ve been burned by this a couple of times.
Also, if you don’t have dozens of accounts, and CapOne is your main one, it’s easier to log in there directly every other day to keep an eye.

One other thing: Capital One is one of the few institutions I deal with where you can approve/manage 3rd party access. You can see these under Security in your user profile:

Every month or so an email will come from Capital One asking if you want to keep the connection(s). I recall that the initial setup with Tiller/RightCapital went through some steps to setup the link with Capital One.

Same as others have reported, no issues and I have 10 different accounts with them.

@ecscheel if you’re having an issue please write into our support team via chat. This Capital One outage was stale (and this post helped me identify an issue with the outage sheet that we fixed today). Since it’s no longer an active outage, you can troubleshoot it with the team.
