Changing Account Email and Preserving Templates on Google Sheets

Hello,

I originally started the account with my work email but I’d like to move everything over to a new email address and account for the Tiller console. Can I do this and transfer the spreadsheets I’ve been working on to the new account?

Unfortunately, this is not as simple as you’re probably hoping.

If you’d like to use Tiller with a different email account than the one you’re currently using you’ll need to start over with a new trial using the other account.

Mark is right, this is not an easy task to change email addresses but it can be done.

If you simply want the same templates then you can add those to a new sheet easier than migrating. You could even copy them to the new sheet from your existing sheet, you just would only have data going forward with the new links to your bank accounts.

But if you’re wanting all of the data that you have brought in along with the templates then you’ll have to do some work like outlined in marks article.

Good morning! As was already mentioned, you can not just change the email address, but you should not lose anything if you cancel your Tiller account and then sign up under a new email address. Share your spreadsheet with yourself (and your choice to make a copy) and link that sheet to your new account. You’ll need to set up all your financial accounts again in the new account.
