I’d like to apply different color Themes to my various Tiller workbooks to remind me which workbook I’m in and I’m having trouble.
When I display the Format/Themes sidebar, and select a new Theme, no changes are made to most header rows or tables. If a chart is displayed on the tab, I see the change reflected in the chart, but no change to the rest of the sheet. Has anyone else seen this?
Hi @GregC, I love that you want to customize the colors of your Tiller spreadsheet. I do something “similar” with my Chrome profiles so I know which account I am using.
The issue isn’t Tiller so much as how Themes work. Any formatting you do manually overrides the Theme. Themes are only applied to defaults in cells if that makes sense. I tested trying to apply a theme to my Tiller spreadsheet and got the same results as you, but the theme did apply to an inserted sheet.
This doesn’t answer your question, but on an inserted sheet I paste special my Tiller data. I do this by clicking the select all box above row 1 indicator. Control C. On the new sheet I did Control SHIFT V to paste special. It DID paste according to the theme (which I customized to have pink font.) Then I highlighted part of the header and used the format painter to apply that to my actual Transactions sheet, and it worked!
