Import CSV Line Items workflow question: Empower

I have a question about the Import CSV Line Items workflow from Tiller Community Solutions.

I’m trying to import cvs that was exported from Empower. I was under the impression that Empower is basically just rebranded Personal Capital, so I figured the tool should be able to import the exported csv, but the import fails.

The format that I see Empower exporting is as follows:

Date,Account,Description,Category,Tags,Amount
2025-08-15,“aaaa”,“bbbbb”,“cccc”,,10

Is there anyway I can contribute to the tool so that Empower CSV imports correctly?

Hi @rrrrr , I believe the CSV tool is a beta feature and I’ve reached out to the engineer who tinkers with it.

For a non official answer, you might want to try your CSV in something like ChatGPT and tell it to extract the information into the specific columns. I’ve actually had pretty good success with that.

Good question, @rrrrr. Unfortunately, the import rules for that Tiller Community Solutions workflow are kind of a black box. Since it sounds like you are comfortable using more advanced workflows, have a look at this and see if it helps.
