I have added columns to these sheets without any issues, but I’m not sure how dependent the “data import” scripts from Tiller are to column order for the base sheets. Anyone know?
The answer is mostly yes - it is safe to change the order of the columns. You should not change the NAME of the columns that Tiller has provided.
The sheets supported by Tiller Money Feeds will look for the column names. The majority of the sheets in Tiller Community Solutions also work that way. There may be a few that don’t, but I haven’t encountered any of that. I have added columns in the middle of the Transactions sheet with no issues at all.

I will also say that you can easily make a copy of your current sheet as a backup, make the changes and see if it effects the sheets you are using, and if it does, you can easily restore to the previous sheet. Like Martha said, most foundation base sheets are column name dependent. However, there are community solutions available that might not take that into account. So just have the back up prepared.
