Issue because of Vertical Merge when using Update Savings Budget to save Budget Adjustments

Hi All,

I recently just started encountering the following error when I try to use the “Update Savings Budget” tool to ‘save’ my budget adjustments.
“API call to sheets.spreadsheets.batchUpdate failed with error: Invalid requests[4].sortRange: You can’t sort a range containing vertical merges. There is a vertical merge at I2:I6”

I have been using this tool for years without encountering this problem. I have investigated the cells in questions and cannot find any actual merged cells. The only thing that has changed recently is that I began using AutoCat.

Any suggestions on what is causing the error and how I can fix it? TIA

I don’t use the template frequently, but I’m not experiencing this error. If you can’t identify the merged cells, I’d recommend using the TCS add-on to restore the Savings Budget template. You won’t lose data.
