I am trying to confirm paypal transactions from this year since 1/1/25
And I am seeing that I am missing quite a few large transactions from before 90 days ago. (Maybe that is just a coincidence that its 90 days and Paypal’s default activity search view is for the last 90 days)
FYI: I hadn’t synced/updated my tiller google sheet in awhile (3 - 5 months) and there may have even been issue with the account needing to be refreshed for awhile (same duration of time).
I do not know if this is a known issue (only seeing 90 days back of the paypal transactions, possibly?) and maybe I need to import manually paypal transactions or create individual manual transactions for the important ones I need?
I am just afraid of doing anything that could cause unnecessary work or duplicates.
Just to clarify, I can see the date of the transaction in paypal, then turn off all my filters in transactions within tiller google sheet, then do a search for the exact amount and it is no where to be found.
As you mentioned, generally the system/aggregator will not pull in data over 90 days old because of how the policies were set up. So if you’re trying to pull them in now; you’ll have to import the data from 1/1/25 to Aug manually.
You mentioned that you haven’t refreshed in a while, did you have your sheets on auto populate during that time? if not yeah you’ll potentially need to manually refresh all the connection and data because the login and data validity would’ve expired.
Paypal and other banks will generally have data up to 7 years because of data retention policy but tiller and it’s services can’t go anywhere near that far. let us know if you need a link to the CSV upload or similar.
Is there a way to automatically have them populate daily/weekly without me opening the google sheet?
Do you have a link on how to do this? Do you have a google app script that does this? or is this something built into the extension that I am just completely blind and missed/misunderstood?
it’s currently unavailable, but if you toggle the “auto fill” on it should work; but you need to check in every week or so because if you’re either logged out of google or no user activity; it will turn off.
A general caveat: while there are helpful automation features, it does rely on activity and re-authentication so you can’t leave it for a month and expect everything to be functioning smoothly.
Yikes @ctlee if you’re seeing “under construction” there it means you’ve got some issues we need to work out. That feature should be broadly available to everyone who has successfully gone through an automated migration (the “performing maintenance” message that shows up when you first launch Tiller Money Feeds sometimes) their sheet as of early June.
@MrCredible if you were absent for 3-5 months that’s most likely why you’re missing data.
