After much back and forth, it seems that Yodlee has decided to not pull the mortgage accounts from Oregon State Credit Union. (The other accounts appear to be pulling into the console. Getting from there into Excel is still an issue–ticket in progress.)
I followed the instructions here to convert my mortgage account to a manually tracked account. I then manually added the current account balance in Excel using the Add-In Tiller Money Feeds. However, the new balance is not showing up correctly in the Balances sheet or in the Net Worth sheet.
Detailed info and things I have tried:
All of the rows for my mortgage account have the exact same account name, account number, account ID, institution name, and type, and they are all classed as a liability on the Balance History sheet. All of the rows have a unique balance ID. The balances, of course, are different as well.
As a test, if I update the name of the account in the Balance History sheet, the name is correctly reflected on the Balances sheet. This account is not named on the Net Worth sheet, but the liability amount (still incorrect) appears under “Ungrouped Liability.”
I am using Balances - Version 1.00 and Net Worth - Version 0.94. My version of Excel 365 is up-to-date. There are no error messages or flags to note. I have not modified any of these sheets.
What am I missing? Why is the balance not correct on the Balances sheet or in the Net Worth sheet despite being updated manually with the correct amount on the Balance History sheet?
Hello @jaggy732, great to see you again in the community.
I unfortunately have not tried switching an account to manual, although I do have some manual accounts. I love the flexibility to have both types of accounts. Curious your balance is not correct.
I’d recommend reaching out to our support team via the chat window in the lower right corner of the Console at https://my.tiller.com/ or in the Tiller Money Feed Add-on. The support team is really supportive.
Hi @jaggy732 in the Balance History sheet is the date format for that account’s entry correct?/matches the rest? Sometimes a slightly different format can make it unrecognizable.
Hi @jaggy732 - Another place to check - both the Balances and Net Worth sheet obtain the “Last Balance” from the Accounts tab where it should show up in Column J called “Last Balance”. If it is incorrect there, then it’s likely a date issue because the formula in that Accounts column sorts the Balance History entries date descending and picks the balance at the top, meaning the most recent entry by Date. Note also that it does not seem to consider the “Time” column from Balance History. If you have two entries on the same Date with different times, it should pick up whichever one is on top, regardless of the time. You could bump the date on the latest balance that you want to see for your manual account to tomorrow’s date, for example, and see if it shows up in the Last Balance in Accounts.
I don’t know why, but the Balances sheet seems to be functioning correctly now. There were never any date formatting issues. I went through the entire Balance History sheet and removed all but one date from each month. My mortgage account is now showing the correct balance on the Balances sheet.
Still having some weird issues with the Net Worth sheet.
The Net Worth sheet lists my liabilities total correctly, but it only lists my credit cards individually. My mortgage account is not listed at all under liabilities, but the mortgage balance is included in the liabilities total. The formula spill stops after my credit cards. There is a row of grey cells under my credit card group where the mortgage account should be, but those cells are all empty. The spill doesn’t reach that row.
My mortgage account is in its own group on the Accounts sheet and has a class override to force it to be a liability. Removing the class override changes nothing on the Net Worth sheet.
Why is my mortgage account not listed under liabilities on the Net Worth sheet despite being included in the liabilities balance?
I restored the Net Worth sheet and archived the old version. They are identical. Both the new and the old Net Worth sheets have the same issue in that my mortgage account is not listed on either sheet, yet my mortgage balance is included in the liabilities total.
