Resolved: Console and Tiller Money Feeds loading very slowly (12/23/2025)

Update 12/26 - 2:38PM EST - we’ve made another change we believe/hope will address this daily latency, which happens to occur around the same time Tiller Money Feeds is automatically filling data to Google Sheets. If you find the Console or sidebar being slow, continue to report and let us know so we can continue improving (but also know that it will self resolve after the auto fills complete).

Update 12/26 - 8:23AM EST - this issue is intermittent, self resolves after around an hour, and seems to occur around (2PM EST - 5PM EST) when the database load is high. We’re looking into additional solutions, but until we can get those released, please just check back later in the evening (after 5PM) and things should be back to normal.

Update 12/24 - 5:02PM EST - systems appear to be back to normal. The issue seems to be a traffic/load issue that occurs around this time each day (2PM EST - 5PM EST) combined with some other changes we made recently that we can’t roll back. We’ve made some adjustments that we hope will prevent this from happening tomorrow (and after) around this time. If you experience this issue (Tiller Console loading slowly or Tiller Money Feeds getting stuck on checking for updates) PLEASE just be patient and try again in a couple hours - this is NOT our long term solution, it’s just the best we can offer right now on Christmas eve/Christmas. Update 12/24 - 3:17PM - as of around 2:56PM EST some users are reporting delays in loading the Tiller Console again. Our team is taking a look at what may be causing this again. Thanks for your patience.

Update 12/23 6:18 PM EST - the changes made by our team were successful and app functionality should be restored. Please note that there may be a slight delay processing some recent transactions.

Update 12/23 5:39PM EST - our team has identified the issue and has made changes to address it. We’re seeing improvements in the Console and Tiller Money Feeds sidebar loading speeds, with things working normally again for many customers. We expect the fixes to fully take affect for everyone later this evening, but the changes will take a little time to get rolled out fully. Thanks for your patience!

As of December 23rd, 2025 12:30 PST Tiller is investigating and mitigating intermittent service outage and degradation with the following impacts:

  • Tiller Console is loading very slowly or not at all

  • Tiller Money Feeds sidebar unable to load

You may see a variety of errors in Tiller Money Feeds or the Console caused by these loading issues while our team works to address this outage.

We are working as quickly as possible to resolve this issue. We will provide updates here.

Glad to hear this. Mine has been very slow to open for nearly a year.

It would be great if there was a service status page like other SaaS providers so I was not wondering if it was just me.

@rickbumpus this specific issue hasn’t been ongoing for a year. This is a new issue just occurring today as a result of some new changes we were pushing to our production environment and are causing extra slowness.

Agreed this would be nice. Hopefully something we can offer at some point in the future!

Thanks, Heather. Since I do have a unique issue, who can I check with to see if they can find a solution (Excel). I would like to start off with a new spreadsheet for 2026.

Today the Tiller Console fails to “refresh”. It just spins without rendering the final results.
I will wait a few hours and try again. roger

@ROGFIT229 are you meaning the entire Console or just a specific institution?

If it’s the entire console, i’d recommend restarting your computer to completely rule out any caching issues.

Tiller doesn’t load at all for me. This is a major issue for year end tax reporting

FYI, I’m having the same issue as @ROGFIT229 : I’m able to login, but it just spins while “Checking for Updates”

Understand the challenge but it’s a major issue when trying to close out the end of the year accounting (most critical time of the year for us)!

Definitely hear you on that. It’s not ideal for us that this is happening at this time of year either. This is our busiest season… and we are effectively operating on a skeleton staff because of Christmas. We are working on it and things are improved a bit now. It seems to be related to heavy periods of traffic and some changes we made yesterday, but works itself out. We appreciate your patience, compassion and understanding during this holiday season. Hope you all enjoy time with your family :slight_smile:
