Synchrony and Citibank Not Refreshing 7/24

They are both listed in the institution alerts but given how many users likely have accounts with these very large institutions there are probably lots of people frustrated or soon to be frustrated with this. Is there a way to get more detailed status and resolution information beyond just the Tentative ETA?

I have a Citibank account and mine is working fine. In my experience, the “Institutional Outages” usually don’t mean the feed is down for everyone, it means there are issues affecting some users. If you haven’t already, try contacting support@tiller.com, that’s your best chance of getting info beyond the tentative ETA.

Synchrony synced for me today. No problems.

Citibank is not syncing/refreshing for me either using Yodlee. I’ve opened a ticket. This has been an issue for several days. I’m able to log into my account directly at the Citibank website so it isn’t a problem with credential input. When I attempt to reestablish the connection by “editing credentials” via the Tiller Console, the correct credentials are rejected.

Experiencing the same issues this morning. Can log in to Citi through the web. Unable to refresh this account through Tiller. Tiller console indicates the connection needs attention.

I was able to edit credentials successfully this morning but the refresh is still failing. On a positive note, I had been adding transactions manually by inserting rows in the sheet and filling them in. I read in this or some other thread about the add transaction feature (next to “split” - I’d seen this a million times and it never registered). Adding transactions manually is not fun but the add transaction feature makes it far less painful than doing it directly on the sheet. I’m creating all of these with an extended description indicating that they’re potential duplicates because they will be duplicated when the citi connection is restored and I’ll copy the category to the official transaction and delete the manually entered one.

Pretty absurd to have an outage of this magnitude given the sub prices we pay. Tiller you need to fix this ASAP. Citi is a major carrier this is probably affecting millions of people. Prioritize it!

My Citi account last refreshed 7/23 at 9:30 pm.
My Synchrony account has not had any issues refreshing.

I’ve found that when I have issues, it’s best to wait until after 9 a.m. on Monday since many banks do maintenance over the weekends.

I am intrigued by the add transaction functionality and have never really paid attention to it either. I did look up the online instructions for this Using-the-manual-transaction-tool-in-tiller-money-feeds and it appears as if there is no reconciliation for the Manual Transactions. My data is important, but not critical. It sounds like extra work if you have a number of transactions to add. And hopefully Citi or Yodlee will straighten out this issue in short order for those of us affected.

EDIT: The reconciliation functionality only applies to the Excel platform (of which I use). Appears as if Google Sheets has a utility for reconciliation.

I am having the same problem with refreshing my credit union account, which is where I do most of my banking. Has anyone hear had a reply from Tiller? I tried yesterday and just again today.

Still unable to synch my Citi Card transactions this morning. Anyone else having the same issue? Is there a way to troubleshoot this other than confirming credentials directly through Citi (my credentials are working fine when I log in directly to my Citi account).

My Citi card hasn’t refreshed in two days. Haven’t tried updating my credentials yet.

Citibank is on the Institution Alert page: Institution Alerts (Yodlee Only) - Google Sheets

It is a Yodlee/Citi issue and not a Tiller issue.

Is using Plaid the solution? Are there any Tiller subscribers using Plaid for their Citibank aggregation and could comment?

It’s not a Tiller issue, it’s an issue between Citibank and Yodlee. All of Tiller’s competitors that use Yodlee will also be experiencing this issue right now. Usually when these kinds of issues occur with a major bank, they are fixed within a few days, though sometimes it can take longer. Have patience. I’ll note that I’ve been using Tiller with Citibank for several years, and this is the first time I can recall a problem with Citibank that lasted longer than a day or two.

Tiller also supports connections using Plaid, which can be used when Yodlee isn’t working. It’s possible Plaid may be working with Citibank, but it takes some effort to switch between Yodlee and Plaid, so it’s something you probably shouldn’t try unless the outage lasts a very long time.

Citibank is working now for me - hopefully for everyone else as well…

Did you use the support email (support@tiller.com) to reach out to support? It might take a bit for them to respond as I am not sure they work weekends as it is a very small staff.

Thank you, yes. i opened a ticket.

Noticed that this morning. Again working for me as well.

Also have a working Citi account. Mine refreshed around Midnight ET
