I tried looking around for this already, but didn’t see it.
I’m having trouble with the category totals when I have both a credit card account transaction and a checking transaction going to the same expense category. The way it is working is mathematically correct, but it isn’t an accurate picture of the outflow. It’s like the Category Tracker or Monthly Analysis can’t determine the account type (which maybe that is a limitation of Tiller).
For example, take the generic Transportation category…say I have the following
$1000 out of the checking account (in Transactions it shows as a debit, or negative value) for the car payment, and then $100 out of the credit card (in transactions it shows a positive value) for gas. My expectation would be that I would see $1,100 in outflow as the total, but in Tiller, it will show me $900.
Any help would be appreciated, and apologies if I missed the solution in another post.
