Typing Transaction Into Spreadsheet Vs. Adding Manual Transaction

If a transaction is directly add to the spreadsheet, how is this different, other than connivence, than adding a manual transaction?

I’ve done that in the past when I just wanted to insert one transaction and it was easier than calling up the tool. You just need to remember to get the dates right and add a manual transaction ID, but it should all be good. And remember, that it doesn’t update the Balance History table.
