Update weekly instead of daily?

Is it possible to set the system/sheet update only 1/week rather than daily? I do not need a daily update, a weekly update of google sheet is good enough. I would rather not have all accounts pulled daily.

If I disable the auto update in google sheet, is it still pulling data daily into tiller servers, for later copying into sheet?

Hello @AJonTiller

Thanks for your question! It’s great to see you engaging with the Tiller community.

It’s understandable that you’re exploring different ways to manage your Tiller updates. Tiller is designed to provide users with up-to-date financial insights through daily data pulls. This focus on daily clarity is a core part of Tiller’s mission to empower users to take control of their money.

This does not answer your question but I am linking to the help center on connected accounts.

Thanks for raising this point in the community! It brings up a good question about how we all interact with our financial data. I’m curious to hear how other Tiller users approach this. Do you review your Tiller sheets daily, or do you have a different routine?

You can disable Auto-fill and then do a manual fill weekly. Tiller still stores your daily updates, so when you manually update your sheet, daily transactions/balances will be filled for the whole week.

Go to Extensions → Tiller Money Feeds → Setting to toggle Auto-fill off. To manually update, go to the same extension and choose Fill Sheets. (Note: I’m not aware of any way to set Auto-fill to run weekly automatically.

One goal is to reduce daily log on to (some or all of) the accounts.

(Once the data is pulled, it is irrelevant if it stays only with Tiller servers or gets populated into spreadsheet.)

Understandable: if you don’t need daily updates, why have all this activity happening in the background? Or are you more concerned about security and getting locked out? The short answer is no, Tiller does not have a built-in option to limit refreshes by their financial data aggregator (Yodlee) to once per week. You can find more details in their help article and FAQ How often is new data added to my Tiller-powered spreadsheet. One section includes What is Yodlee’s refresh policy?

Yeah, if not needed daily, then it is preferable to keep this activity low.
