X/Twitter Posts - Clarifying My Responses

I was asked a question on X (formerly Twitter). I just signed up for Twitter so I’m kind of a novice with how it works and the expected etiquette.

Question:
@tillermoney
What did you decide was better, Google Sheets or Excel?

Response:
@tattoo9790
I wanted Excel to work because I think it is more capable. But, I had to go back to Google Sheets because Tiller appears to be more stable on Sheets. It is a huge effort to try Excel again and get everything set back up. Data should easily be transferrable tween Excel and Sheets.

I want to be clear. I really like Tiller and it works fine on Google Sheets. I have no particular complaints about either product.

I was looking over some excellent Excel tutorials on YouTube that seemed like it might add some fun, interesting capabilities to Tiller in Excel. I tried a few times to import “all” my data into Excel but each time ran into one problem or another. I may have caused the problems by not knowing what I was impacting with the things I was trying. So, I gave up on it. That’s why I responded to the post on X.

No complaints. No pressing requirements. All is working fine. I’ll teach myself some Excel with some other projects. Sorry if my responses on X gave the wrong impression.

@kkinderen Hi Kevin,

It’s always good to hear fellow Tiller users experiences and insights. I don’t feel your response sounds like a complaint at all.

All my spreadsheet experience has been with Excel prior to Tiller. I started off using Excel and then tried my hand at learning Sheets. I decided to stay with Excel. For me, it simply came down to comfort level.

I was able to find a Tiller work flow for moving data from or to Excel / Sheets, so that helped me out a lot. I’ve also copied some data from Sheets to Excel too. It certainly is easy to run into issues until one has a good understanding of the how the spreadsheet tabs are connected.

Thanks for sharing your experience!
