Categories not showing in drop down

In the foundation sheet, I added entries to the Categories sheet by including Category Group and Type. They are not showing up on the tranaction sheet drop downs. Why would that be?

Hi @joek, That certainly can happen if the drop down range isn’t picking up the entire column from the Categories tab. After refreshing, if that doesn’t reflect the whole range, try right clicking on one of the category cells and choosing “dropdown.” It should show that the dropdown from range is all of column A. If not, you can edit it.

If that doesn’t work I would recommend reaching out to the CS team by clicking on the help chat either on the Tiller console or in the sidebar.

what do you mean by refreshing? are you referring to reloading the page in Chrome?

Hmm: tell us more about how you entered new values on the Categories sheet. You can type a new Category value, type a new or existing Group value, and select a Type from the dropdown (either “Income”, “Expense”, or “Transfer”). Note that Type can only be one of those three values.
