Hoping all is well on your end! I had a question regarding manual accounts.
I recently closed a credit card and am still actively in repayment. The closed credit card is connected to my Tiller console and spreadsheet. However, since the account is closed, it won’t update via Yodlee. This is not ideal because I’d still like to track my progress via the Debt Payoff Planner template.
In the interim I created a Manual Account in the Tiller console to represent the closed credit card, in hopes of replacing the original account for my tracking purposes. However, I’m currently unable to connect this manual account to my Tiller spreadsheet.
Is there a way for the original closed credit card account to still be connected via Yodlee? If not, how can I connect the duplicate, manual account to my Tiller Spreadsheet, so I can continue tracking my progress?
Hi Becca, a little confused usually a closed account can’t have activity on it, unless this was a specific circumstance where the lender closed the account or other legal circumstance? But to get it to reflect on the balance you’ll need to update this on the balance history tab which is usually hidden.
Give these steps by casilverthorn.96How can I switch an account from Connected to Manual? a shot as it seems like a similar end goal to yours?
Once you create the manual account in the console, you have to link it to your spreadsheet. Open the spreadsheet menu from the left and select the spreadsheet you are using with the manual account. Then click on linked accounts to bring up the accounts and then manage links. You will need to scroll through to the account you have added and click on the check box. That will bring in the balances into your spreadsheet. You will have to manually update the balance in the console to reflect in the spreadsheet as you make your payments.
