PayPal Credit not supported any more?

What happened to PayPal Credit? It has worked for a long time. However, within the last few weeks, I have begun seeing the following screen shot after entering my security code:

Thanks in advance!

The general PayPal connection to Tiller has been down for a few weeks. I suspect it’s related to that.

PayPal is no longer in the institution alerts sheet but I still can’t refresh that connection. It always tells me the MFA code is not correct even though it JUST sent me the code. If I try too many times, I get the screenshot OP posted. Not sure if I should be contacting support?

Hi @woolds , have you tried refreshing by re-entering your credentials using an incognito browser session?

I would suggest contacting support, if you’ve already tried the step above mention it in your bank feed ticket as well as the step at which you get the error. You can send a new message using the blue chat widget in the lower right corner of your Console at https://my.tillerhq.com or write to support@tillerhq.com

weeks? been screwed for me for almost a year now.

Hmmm. Definitely a consistently inconsistent connection for me, but I have had it work for stretches over the last year. (I do refresh all of my connections every morning, so maybe my relentlessness paid off with hitting some days when it happened to be working.) PayPal and Venmo definitely give me the most issues. Wonder if there’s something about payment apps that makes it challenging for Yodlee to maintain a connection. . .

That error is misleading and doesn’t indicate the site support status. We can troubleshoot it with our data provider as long as Paypal isn’t on the alerts dashboard.

Thanks, @morgan. PayPal seems to be back on the Institutional Alerts sheet as of today. I don’t know if PayPal credit is a different connection than PayPal itself. (My issues are with regular old PayPal.)

Thank you for the suggestion (I did miss that troubleshooting step somewhere along the way), but it looks like PayPal is back on the Institution Alerts sheet. Hopefully it will be fixed sooner than later!

That’s typically the first troubleshooting step. Happy to help!

PayPal was just taken off of the outage list again, today, as has happened many times in the past, without any resolution to the issue. I don’t understand this back/forth, is Yodlee falsely claiming to have fixed the issue every time they take it off? I can understand making the mistake once, but they keep removing it (without fixing it) and adding it back. Maybe they want to keep the “duration of the issue” small. This way it’s always down for a “couple weeks” when in reality it’s been several months or a year+ at this point.

Agreeing with brianTiller here. I don’t refresh accounts that aren’t working every day, but I have tried to refresh Paypal since late October many times without success. I assume at some point, I will have to do manual entries even if it gets fixed, because Tiller won’t pull in more than 90 days? Anyway, it has reached the point where I am going to stop using Paypal until / unless it gets fixed. (That shows how much I depend on Tiller to understand my spending patterns, which is a good thing). Perhaps I should write Paypal, to let them know that they are losing business (in however a small way). Presumably they can put pressure on Yodlee if that’s the issue?

Is PayPal working for you? It isn’t on the Institutional Alerts sheet any longer. In both my normal browser window and a new incognito window, clicking on “Edit Credentials” loads the username/password/2fa pages and then I get the dreaded “Site not supported” error.

Same issue here, FWIW. And I’ve become blocked from logging into Paypal from a regular web browser session. I assume because Paypal sees the login attempts as a security issue.

I’m able to login at https://paypal.com/ in my main browser window. I tried Tiller “Edit Credentials” again after that, in the same browser window, and still get the “Site not supported” error.

I did notice that in the normal window Tiller “Edit Credentials” flow I see “null” (without quotes) above the 2FA text box but in the incognito window there is a normal text prompt.

I cannot provide any more insight to what might be happening with Yodlee’s efforts to resolve connection issues with PayPal but from a personal standpoint I don’t typically refresh my PayPal connection but the couple of times that I have since it’s been off the outages list I’ve successfully managed to refresh :see_no_evil: without editing credentials 1/2 times and in a normal browser session.
