I would also like to state i would like the transactions on top as well.
But in other news my email today included what seems like all of the same transactions as yesterday’s almost like it is just adding transactions to the queue and sending all of them.
I love the new format and the configuration options! My one request would be a setting to allow us to put recent transactions at the top, ahead of balances. I’m more interested in the recent transactions and the balances are a “nice to have” for me, which I may or may not always check.
The first few days the emails kept accumulating more transactions, repeating the ones from the previous days and adding new transactions. Today some of the oldest transactions were no longer in the email but there were still some I’ve already seen 3 or 4 times. I would expect to only see new transactions once. As it is it’s quite confusing.
I don’t want balances in my email so I’ve set it to only show transactions. Thanks for making that an option. But if I did want to see balances I’d probably want them at the end, after the transactions.
The new Hello, Money is terrific. 10x improvement. Thanks for putting the resources into making this better. Works great both on the computer and mobile (!) Thank you to all who had a hand in this.
I know many people likely have their own personal customization ideas and it would be impossible to achieve all requests (unlike spreadsheets which are totally customizable.)
My only suggestion is to give us an option to “Hide Accounts with No new transactions.” They should STILL appear in the Balance Summary AND Recent Transactions & Refreshes grey background section in the Header that includes the last refresh time and Institution name. Don’t remove that part.
But seeing the account name(s) again with “No new transactions”, 18 times in my case, is not helpful.
If there is nothing listed under the last refresh time for the institution, i can fairly assume there are no new transactions.
Thanks for the additional feedback about the order of transactions on top vs balances on top.
We are seeing an issue where some customers are now not receiving the email if they have more than ~20 accounts. As a troubleshooting step we recommend toggling some accounts off on the Console to see if that helps. We believe this is due to just sending a larger data set (there are some improvements we can make there like some folks’ suggestions to not include accounts when there are no transactions - thanks @jono ) and it timing out.
@bentyre1 I can’t explain why you received it 2 days ago and then didn’t receive it today unless you toggled on more accounts in between those nor can I explain why you received the same batch of transactions two days in a row. We are investigating why some transactions are showing in the email more than one day in a row.
Love the new email! I never really used the old one, but this one is much more readable. I’ll echo others and say I prefer Transactions before Balances. It’s more immediate need to know information.
I’m very excited about the new email format, but I have not actually received one yet, and in fact have stopped getting the old daily email so I’m not receiving either right now (though when I use the “Preview” button I do get a test email). The daily email has been one of the most valuable Tiller features for me, so I’d really like to see this get fixed ASAP.
I’d +1 the suggestion for Transactions first, and also for trying to keep it condensed / compact visually.
@danheller@bentyre1@stephonee can you let us know if you receive it today? We pushed a change later in the day yesterday we hope will address the issue where some folks aren’t receiving it.
Hi Heather, love the new layout for the daily email. Unfortunately, I have not received one since the initial rollout. I’ve toggled the feature off/on and tried to do the manual send with the Preview button in the console. I’ve also checked my spam folder. I have 13 accounts linked. Are there additional troubleshooting steps I can take? Thank you.
I didn’t receive one the last two mornings and when I checked the Tiller console, the feature was disabled (not by me). I enabled it again this morning, we’ll see how things go
What @Mark.S said. I realized this morning that I had not received it the last two days, and I went in to discover that it had been toggled off, not by me.
Let us know if you’re finding that it gets toggled off again (without your doing). Glad to hear some folks are getting it again that previously weren’t.
