PayPal does work with Plaid, thank you for allowing us to use it. I am not sure what problem you are having @dmetiller but it may just be understanding the difference in how the PayPal “accounts” work. With Yodlee, I was able to get PayPal credit card transaction data, albeit upon the end of each statement cycle and not before. The transactions showed up under the PayPal credit card account. With Plaid, in contrast, the PayPal credit card’s “transaction data” only shows the credit card payments, and reward redemptions. The spending on the card is tied to “PayPal” itself (not the PayPal credit card). I am able to get the PayPal credit card transaction data, via Plaid, using both Tiller and Monarch, via the PayPal account (which is distinct from the PayPal credit card account). It is still useful to keep the credit card account because that is the only one which shows an accurate reflection of the card’s balance.
My other main gripe with Tiller has been the inability to get investment account transactions (like dividends) with SoFi, and lack of support for the SoFi credit card. I was able to add SoFi via Plaid to Tiller and it now gets the investment transactions, but the SoFi credit card only reflects its balance, and does not pull transaction data. Monarch, using Plaid, is able to get the SoFi credit card transaction data. Sadly I am probably just going to make the switch as my Google Sheet is now a massive garbage dump and it’s not worth manually tracking accounts as I could just do that with my own spreadsheet. If anyone trying Plaid with Tiller has had success getting SoFi credit card transaction data I would appreciate some insight as to what steps you completed. Thanks
