I have a question about converting to Direct Fills. I had a major issue when I last tried on 14 April (it shifted only the first few columns instead of adding full rows). It was quite difficult to recover from that issue. If I have an issue, is it now easy to switch back to normal fills? And will it resend the missing transactions if I restore an older copy and switch back to normal fills?
My second question: Can I duplicate my Google sheet and set one sheet to Direct Fills and keep the other on regular fills while I analyze the results after a few days?
I think you can make a copy, then open the copy, go to Extensions/Tiller Money Feeds/ Settings. When I tried that on a new blank spreadsheet, the sidebar opened and it asked to link the spreadsheet to the tiller console, so presumably if you do that, you could have the copy then linked so it can do direct fills, while the original stays on the old method.
@1jerry the upgrade should work much more smoothly this time. If you need to revert, yes it’s possible, and you’d just restore to a prior working version, unlink the sheet, then re-link using the sidebar.
If you want to experiment in a copy, yes you can do that. You’d just make a copy of your sheet. Open the Tiller Money Feeds sidebar from the Extensions menu and link the copy. Then go to the Console and upgrade the copy of your file to see how it works. That should help you understand whether it’s safe to upgrade your main sheet.
